The Sims 4, both in CD and digital edition, is compatible for Windows and MacOS, just as The Sims 3. I’m running the game on a MacBook Air just fine. The easiest way is to install Origin on your Mac and download the game from there. If in doubt just check the game specs but you shouldn’t have any problem.
Boot Camp is free and pre-installed on every Mac (post 2006). Parallels, on the other hand, charges you $79.99 ($49.ade) for its Mac virtualization product. In both cases, that also excludes the price of a Windows 7 license, which you’ll need!
It’s not likely to cause problems, but part of the process is repartitioning the hard drive. This is a process that if it goes badly can cause complete data loss.
Yes, The Sims 4 runs on M1 Macs via Rosetta 2. The Sims 4 is a life simulation game that gives you the power to create and control your very own Sim. The Sims 4 is the latest entry in the legendary Sims series and features tons of new systems that make it the more sophisticated and enthralling Sims game to date.
It won’t hurt the Mac, if that’s what you’re asking. Windows on Apple hardware will be no more safe or stable than it is on any other hardware but again, nothing that happens to the Windows install — malware, viruses, cruft buildup, BSOD, etc. — will harm the underlying hardware or the installation of MacOS.
BootCamp does not slow down the system. It does require you to partition your hard-disk into a Windows part and an OS X part – so you do have a situation that you are dividing your disk space. There is no risk of data loss.
I would personally recommend dual booting operating systems if you’re not a geek and want to avoid issues and just concentrate on work. So having a shared folder for both operating systems. If you use boot camp it comes with driver for HFS+ on OSX you will have install something for ntfs.
In general, games run faster on pcs then Macs. Most Mac games however run very well under OSX and with Windows / bootcamp, you have to worry about viruses / spyware (it also can be a pain restarting your Mac in bootcamp every time you want to run a game).
Apple also rates the Pro as having a 100-nit brighter screen than the Air. Based on our lab test results, the MacBook Air (M1) maxes out at 365.8 nits of brightness, while the M1 MacBook Pro (13-inch: 434.8 nits) and the Intel-based 16-inch (429 nits) got even brighter. On color output, though, they’re more similar.
Riot Game’s first-person-shooter, Valorant, won’t be compatible with Mac operating systems on release. Boot Camp is the most popular software to run Windows-only games on Mac. The software allows users to install Windows onto their system easily.
How to install Windows on your Mac for free
Instead, you have to boot one operating system or the other — thus, the name Boot Camp. Restart your Mac, and hold down the Option key until icons for each operating system appear onscreen. Highlight Windows or Macintosh HD, and click the arrow to launch the operating system of choice for this session.

Is it bad to play Sims on MacBook Pro? Ensure that your Macbook has the minimal specs required to run The Sims 4. If it doesn’t have the minimum specs then your MacBook can be damaged by heating, especially as internal components are highly sensitive to heat. Apart from that, The Sims 4 won’t ruin your MacBook.
The Sims 5 coming to Mac
It is expected that most of the new computers running on Apple’s MacOS operating system, including MacBooks notebooks and iMacs desktop computers, will be able to run The Sims 5.

Macbook Air computers are not powerful devices and they are not designed for gaming. The Sims 4 is a complex game that requires a lot of processing power and memory and your Macbook Air will struggle to run it. … Keep in mind that the more packs you add to your game, the slower your Macbook Air will become.
The creator of the hugely popular Sims video game franchise has just made The Sims 4 free to download for anyone with a PC or Mac computer. The game will be free to download via the Origin platform, which is free to download and requires an account to log in.
Re: Origin won’t launch (mac)
If that doesn’t work please trash the Origin app from your Applications folder then run the reset tool again (this should properly uninstall Origin). Empty the Trash and restart your Mac. Then create a new administrator account on your Mac and download and install Origin in that account.
Just as it has for tens of millions of PC users worldwide, Origin for Mac will offer fast and safe game downloads for many of the industry’s most popular titles from EA and publishing partners.
The MacBook Pro is made of aluminum, and this is the reason why it becomes quite hot quickly when you run a heavy app like games. Games need that the CPU and the GPU work hard, and they are the parts that generate more heat. To keep your MacBook cool, fans should turn on automatically.
No, it will not ruin your computer. Make sure that you cap your framerate to something reasonable to keep your GPU from overheating, though. Bits and bytes on a hard drive are exactly that: ones and zeroes. If you’re planning to uninstall the game before fall, that’s fine.
Take away: The Sims 4 is properly optimized for macOS and not particularly demanding. Any recent Mac should be able to handle it, even those with integrated graphics.
